Hello guys, today it turned out that my car... dead. Keyfob did not work, changing the battery did not help.
I had no one nearby, so I called a mobile mechanic. We looked for a car battery for a long time and could not find it. But on google I found out that there is a "red plus" in the fuse box.
It worked, the car came to life again.
So I would like to ask you, as I am completely unfamiliar with this car, which is a Toyota C-HR Hybrid CVT 2.0L HEV.
1) Is there a car battery in this car at all?
2) When I switched the car on I could see on the screen that the battery was half charged, the question is why was there no power? I understand it's a different battery, just why couldn't it share power if there was power in it?
3) Can I buy a car charger just in case so I don't need a mechanic? E.g. on amazon is - Bosch C3 - Intelligent and Automatic Battery Charger - 6V-12V / 3.8A - UK Plug - for Lead-Acid Batteries, GEL, Start/Stop EFB, Start/Stop AGM for Motorcycles, Cars and Light Commercial Vehicles - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-intelligent-automatic-motorcycles-commercial/dp/B09C925GNQ/
or maybe you can suggest what is good for situation like that from your experience.
If anyone was interested in why the car died, on average I use the car once a week during autumn-winter and drive it about 20 miles. But this time I didn't use the car for 1.5 weeks and it happened.
Thanks!
