Hi,

The auto park feature only controls the steering, you control the speed and stopping the car, and then moving it from R to D (or vice-versa), more info on P372 of the manual. If i can remember, you can't adjust the sensitivity of the sensors, only turn off or on (P345) .

 

I really honestly can't understand why so many people just deliberately ignore manuals...
I believe even while using IPA it screams at you when to brake or accelerate

If you read my post, it states I HAVE read the manual and after some clarification. If it's too much trouble, don't reply. Simple.

Stating you've read it doesn't mean you did so. There's a whole page with warnings to use your brake pedal and that it operates only steering wheel

 

Lol at the post thats why people hate asking questions on here is smart comments like above

 

To be short... the IPA will steer the car for you into parking space but you will ALWAYS need to brake yourself.

Love IPA - the beer that is.
I did expect my 2018 to brake itself, but good they've improved on new models.

 

I tried my 2020 model using the park assist to parallel park today for the first time. It did beep when I was close to the car behind but I wasn't brave enough to see if it stopped by itself.
Now to find somewhere to try the end on parking.......

 

I only tried using It once - in a half empty rooftop carpark. It showed every sign of crashing into the next car until I aborted. The driver of the other car was scared witless by my approach and drove off to find another space. I didn't try it again after that.

Haha. Know what you mean. I now know it only controls steering; so will keep use to a minimum, plus when I do use it, keep my foot over the brake pedal.
