Toyota won't get rich with my shopping. I have never even tried Coyote. I don't know what it does and does it even in work Finland. Rubbish.

it reports on speed traps, and you can report speed trap or hidden police . waze is good alternative, and also google maps recently enabled that in 40 or so countries.

When I was 20, I was totally for such services, but now - completely against. No driver should know when and where (s)he could be caught exceeding speed and should be fined. If driver slows down only near speed cameras, then anywhere else any pedestrian or cyclist could be hit much more often. Or your child could not come home one day after such driver passes by.

Totally agree with that.

I cannot understand why Toyota or any other manufacturer should charge for the map updates especially as you can go and purchase a sat-nav which gives free life-time updates. If the costs are due to locations of speed cameras I can see (in the UK) that the police will increase the use average speed cameras as apposed to just one situated in certain areas and you can spot them easily as they are high up and either right over the road or to the side.

Nigel.

Completely unnecessary programs like coyote. It is self-evident to me that if I speed up (as sometimes happens, but only on highway), then the police can fine me.

How about we re-phrase that to ... then I might kill a child!
Gives a little more incentive.

I had to read your post many times before I understood what you meant. I meant a Finnish highway. Of course, I'm not driving speeding where kids are moving around the road. I have never received a speeding fine, although I have been driving a car for 40 years.

In picture Finnish highway

ps. Not highway but main road

Sorry wasn't trying to accuse you of anything.
