1st world problems hey  Even if you had it, you can only drive to the supermarket or to work if you're a 'key worker'.
I know.. thankfully, at the moment, it’s my only problem. However I was hoping to drive down to Devon in it to visit my new grandchild.. Skype is ok, but..... we live in challenging times
I guess the news does not broadcast where you live

Rosie. You do know we are only supposed to be going out if it's completely necessary i.e food shopping for 'essentials' or travelling to work if you're a 'key worker'. The sooner the whole country knuckles down and listens to what the governments asking the sooner we will be through this situation and out the other end. Stay safe everyone.

Sorry but this misinformation has been repeated twice on this thread. ‘Key workers’ are NOT the only ones who can travel to work. The phrase on the gov.uk website is “ Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)”. No mention of key workers. (and no mention of grandchildren either!)
All the best

Don’t panic anyone. Note the tense “I was planning”. I’m self isolating apart from a reluctant weekly trip to the supermarket for essentials and If I could get a delivery slot I wouldn’t be doing that either. For the sympathy vote - our granddaughter was born 5 weeks ago. We left her and her parents when she was 5 days old and have since have had regular Skype calls. We were scheduled to see her next week but that has been postponed indefinitely. So no granddaughter hugs and no new car. We are, however, in good health. It could be worse.
