New ( used ) CH-R, new owner

Post by adn1962 » Wed Feb 12, 2020 6:47 pm

Hi all,

Just moving from a Lexus to CH-R due to CT being a little too low for us. I’ve now put a deposit on 2018 excel hybrid prior to test drive and viewing.

Heard mixed reports on CH-R around quality and build issues. Is there anything to look out for during my inspection?

It’s done ~9000 miles since registration in March 2018. I’ve confirmed it will have its 2 year service prior to picking up.

I’m 6ft and around 15st, The Lexus was very comfortable but too low. CH-R seemed a little bigger inside than it looks when I sat in one.

Would appreciate any feedback/comments on the above or anything I may need to be aware of.

Thanks.

I've had a 67reg CHR for 18 months now, I'm 6foot 3inches and 17st. The car is great, possibly underpowered but to me ok. Reliable. Comfy, roomy, heated seats a blessing as I have back problems.

It’s very comfortable underpowered but you arrive after a 200mike drive feeling great.
Upgraded to 2020 Orange edition with protection pack, supaguard, and dashcam.
Previously owned a 2017 Excel in Tyrol Silver with protection pack, Supaguard treatment, protection pack and boot liner.

I too converted from a CT 200H and I honestly think the CHR is a better car, handling feels more assured, front seat comfort is better as is driving position. I'm not 6'3" but certainly over 15st and I have covered 58k without once feeling tired
1st CHR Decuma Grey Hybrid Dynamic + Leather, 2nd CHR Satin Grey Hybrid Dynamic- very nice
