I was thinking of a Yaris Cross as a replacement for my C-HR in a couple of years, but that Corolla Cross looks even more interesting if they bring it here.

Reading the article it mentions the front wheel drive versions will use a torsion beam rear suspension - thats a backwards cost cutting step.

Both the current front wheel drive Corolla & C-HR use double wishbone rear suspension.

Torsion beam rear suspension is fine for the US market but Europeans will expect better ride & handling.

They might use the wishbone suspension in Europe as they do change to suit local markets, for example they use petrol engines in the US rather than our hybrid only range here.
