Disabling "Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist"?
Disabling "Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist"?
I have a 2021 C-HR Limited here in the US. Anyone know how to disable the "Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist"? It's very annoying and the sudden steering assists have almost caused larger issues while driving.
I've used the steering controls to go into the menus in the instrument cluster and thought had turned the feature off, but it keeps "re-activating" on its own.

One button on steering wheel
There are a few pages on it in the manualHSD in Earth Bronze (a.k.a. Havana Brown)

I've tried that. It seems to turn on by itself every time I turn the car back on.

That's weird,
If you are sure you don't press the steering wheel button without noticing,
I would suggest 2 things
No idea if there's an "auto" setting in the software they could have activated by mistake with their software (same they use for setting up auto window close with remote),
If there isn't a setting for that in there I would probably take it to Toyota

There are lots of settings (I think most even) that can't be enabled or disabled so that they wouldn't reset after ignition on. IIRC LDA is one of those.

On my 2020 model this stays off until I switch it back on using the steering wheel switch?
This might be different in the USA though.

Correct, once off it should only come on when button is pressed again.
Unlike "sport mode" or "hold" function who automatically turn off every time car is turned off.

Normally only an issue if you are one of these people that don't indicate.lmfao. as this overrides the system as when you indicate it's telling the lane assist i am planning to cross the white line.lol.

Ok, that button on the steering wheel did turn it off. I wasn't holding it long enough.

I've noticed on mine that if I set the mode to "eco" it stays selected after I've stopped the car, not sure whether this was just after a recent service.IceColdCrash wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 8:52 pmCorrect, once off it should only come on when button is pressed again.
