OK thank you!
It might be better that I walk. I hardly need to walk 50 meters longer (50 m ≃ 164,0419947505 ft).

Had some practice yesterday in a car park and I think I nailed the bay park.

You have to have the front of the car within about 1m of the car you want to park next to. Be stationary and then press the park button twice and indicate. It works very well.

Parallel parking is easier but the results are a little less consistent. Press the parking button one and indicate, then drive forward slowly.

I have managed to get it to work once in over a year, even in a well marked car park with both parallel and side-by-side parking. I think it requires more patience than I have when parking , I can do it quicker myself.

Isn't it also meant to un-park you? never got this to work.

Yes, it does unpark you, but only if it feels like it!

It only unparks from a parallel park.

For bay parking. Get with a metre of the car you want to park next to, the front of the car kind of next to your door. Stop, press the park button twice, and the car recognises the space immediately.

Markings mean nothing. SIPA checks for other cars, not for lines.

True!
It uses the radars and parking sensors so it doesn't consider the markings.
It would need a rear camera and a camera on each sides, similar with the one in front of the mirror to recognise the markings.
Today it will park as good/bad as the cars around. Slower than most drivers. And it should take over some other drivers with negative skills at parking.

If the system cannot start the SIPA.. your car can be too close to other vehicles.
Take at least 0,5M distance to get it going.. or about 0,75-1,00m distance so you dont hit the kerbs when SIPA parralel parking.
