I would estimate mine have a range of 50 metres on dipped headlights.

Early September 2018 build date.

I don't know how the leveling system works on the C-HR, but on other brands the headlights only level when the car is in neutral gear.
Normally the weight won't shift during driving, so the headlights don't have to be readjusted.

The only problem I don't know how it is solved is when the car is on an incline when the vehicle is started.

Mines going into dealer on the 27th and a report going to Toyota. We will see what happens.

I can now confirm I have received a response from my local Toyota dealer who has consulted with Toyota UK.

My car was taken away for “testing” over two nights and the dealer has confirmed to me compared to another CHR he has in stock my headlight beam is sitting lower. Despite this Toyota UK are refusing to do anything about this and believe my headlights to be sufficient as they are within MOT standard.

Not the response I was hoping for, which is a shame as the light issue spoils driving what is otherwise a great car and I still maintain is hazardous at night. Toyota UK also stated I am the only one to highlight this issue.

Very disappointed and I will not be rushing to buy another Toyota. Not sure at this moment what to do next.

I’m driving a chr excel awd. I love driving it but I feel the lights are not bright enough. When I got it in Feb I had the halogen bulbs upgraded which did improve it but not enough. I was thinking next time to get the dynamic just for the LED lights but now I am wondering if they’ll be good enough?
Cmon Toyota! Sort this problem out!

Problem has finally been resolved . Toyota UK arranges for car to be taken into local dealership once again. The lights were adjusted and the problem is now sorted. I am a happy man and can now enjoy driving at night.
