Dash Cam

Post by brias123 » Wed Sep 13, 2017 3:00 pm

The dashcam from my previous car takes up too much windsreen place on my C-HR.
Can anyone recommend one I can use? I think the windscreen is too sloped.

I have a Nextbase 402G Professional mounted on a nonslip mat on the top of the dash and connected to the 12v in the cubbyhole between the seats. We ran the cable along the dash, down the door pillar under the passenger seat and up using stickybacked double sided Velcro. Works a treat.

Thanks Simongw, I will check that out. Halfords do a hardwire pack for £30 and another £10 for them to fit it. Might try it hardwired.

Check the reviews for the branch of Halfords that you will use....some are good, some not so. But much cheaper than getting dealer to do it.

A couple of people have had them wired in by their dealer. Can anyone say how much they were charged

The 'Blackvue DR650s (1-channel)' looks the business but out of my price range at over $400.
