Think some have had a lot of issues with there chr.
Myself. No issues. Well just 1. Not got over 200bhp like my saab. But that's all and I didn't expect a hybrid to have the power. But loving the car and the infrequent petrol station visits.lol.

Welcome to the forum!
Dash cam wise, do a bit of research online, but generally it seems some in the CHR can cause radio interference although mine which is a Blackvue does not. They are costly though.
Also it seems cameras that use capacitor discharge are more reliable than the ones with batteries, even though wired into the car. I certainly had a battery fail in a Next base Halfords camera, in another car, but I got my money back as it was quite new.

Again, I suggest you do a bit more research on line and you probably get what you pay for, but the radio interference is a problem for some but not others, the cause does not seem to be very clear but seems to be the routing of the wiring has something to do with it.

I have a NextBase 312GW. I have it mounted on the windscreen by the mirror and powered via a cable to the 12v power supply between the seats. I have never had radio interference and both the police and insurance company were delighted with the quality of recording when a lorry sideswiped me on the A1 causing damage to the car- and then didn't stop.

I've got a Nextbase Duo HD, front and rear camera in one unit and wired down the fusebox below the glovebox. All works well, no interference and good quality pictures. On display shows one inset but records two separate files.

I have a nextbase. Halfords wouldn't hardwire it as said they don't do hybrids. But using the next base hardwire kit I done it myself and have no issues. But going to look at the nextbase toyota are doing as seems more better fit on screen. Hoping that it will connect to the same wiring kit. So save money them fitting it
