Flat Battery - Can't get in to the car

Post by TimW » Sun May 17, 2020 11:33 am

Hi
Like others (probably) I've left my car in the garage for the past 6 weeks and today I thought I ought to give it a run. Unfortunately the battery is flat and I can't get into the car. Any ideas what I should do?

Take the key from the keyfob and open the door manually.
Open the hood and jumpstart the car.

Should I have a key?

Hi, I have new Orange edition and do not seem to have holes in door handles to accept manual key?

You are correct. I was looking at the passenger door!!

There definitely is a key hole in the drivers door.

Thanks all

Mine flat too after a week or so. In for a service and they said battery no good under load. £75 for a new battery.
Car is may 2017
I have been starting it with a little starter thing I bought. About the size of an iPhone.
I can’t see the point of changing the battery as the same will happen.
I wonder how long they should last without use?
