fuel display fault

Post by danny C-HR 2018 » Fri Dec 14, 2018 3:36 pm

Hi all,

i drove home with 10 mile to empty, and refueled it to 1/4 tank but the display then showed 7 miles to empty. After the car was around 1/4 tank £15
my fuel display disappeared but the gauge worked. Please does any one know how to reset it.

i have reset all mpg figures
turned the car on and off 100s times
gone through all menus
filled tank to max

Any help will be much appreciated.

Danny

If you fillup with a small amount the remaining miles amount is not reset. Try filling it up completely. Probably everything becomes normal again.

Had the same problem with my CHR. If you let your fuel level drop too low, the only way to reset the fuel gauge, is to fill up the fuel tank, and this does reset the fuel gauge. I was told to do this by my Toyota Dealer, and it worked!
