There are more cars with adaptieve cruise control. My former Volkwagen Polo from 2014 had it, So I can,t call it Wow for
the CHR. The Polo was even better it works by 30km.

For me it's the seating comfort first

I had a Fiat 500x, Auris hybrid and Merc A Class on long hire (3+ weeks each and 1000 miles apiece) and none were as comfortable

2nd it would be road manners and composure.

3rd it would be the economy as have now managed 61mpg (59.5 on brim-to-brim) over the 1100 miles driven in 18 days

What do you mean?
C-HR's ACC works at any speed.
Page 312

If the lever is operated while the
vehicle speed is below approximately
50 km/h (30 mph) and a
preceding vehicle is present, the
set speed will be adjusted to
approximately 50 km/h (30 mph).

I tried it and it was still possible with 40km/h
Then with 30km/h it was not possible to set it at all

So if it was possible for you to set the speed while you was driving after a car
with 30km/h then it means that my system is not allright and I go back to the dealer

Why would you need to set the limit to 30 km/h? Especially behind another vehicle C-HR happily drives with its speed down to 0 km/h. For lower speeds maybe it's better to use the speed limiter instead.

In the town these day,s the speedlimit is very often 30km/h.
Drive into town behind a car and you want to use the ACC and the car in front drives 30km/h.
You set it and don,t touch the accelerator any more then my car don,t follewing.

If I have set it above the 50km/h and the car in front slow down to 30km or lower my car follewing.

If I had to pick one single thing it would be the adaptive cruise control. It's so precise, detects even motorcycles and works at any speed even in the city! How about YOU?
Absolutely. All my journeys are cross city so the car just following what's in front and stopping itself is great

And if you activated it while the car in front drives 30km/h
I don,t get it working.

That is correct but I use it on secondaire roads ant towns to. I have done that with other cars before so I don,t understand why Toyota said
motorway,s

I was using it on a side road which curved to the right. On the left was a pull-in with a car parked in it. The C-HR "saw" the parked car and as it was directly in front, it slammed on the brakes - much to my surprise and to the surprise of the car behind. That is why Toyota recommend for motorways only.

In the city you must be a bit more cautious with the system ;)

Concerning the "set" speed:
The system works above 40 km/h when there is no car in front of you.

It is settable above 10km/h with a car in front of you. It will completely stop the car. And with a touch of the speed paddle will resume.

If you want to use "non adaptive" cruise control. Hold the on/off cruise control button pressed. Till the cruise control light comes on.
Now you have old fashioned cruise control untill you turn it off. This can be handy if the camera is fogged or the radar sensor is blocked.
