That's strange, I also have the 1.2 CVT and I only hear the tires at cruising speeds.
I only hear the engine in the background when accelerating quickly.

I am happy with mine I have a few niggles like when I ordered leather interior I expected the seats to be made as a leather seat not just a leather seat covers so there is zips everywhere just feels like a cheap way of putting leather interior into the car

Really? You were charge £1k for leather seat covers? That doesn't sound quite right. Were they done by the dealer?

I miss the automatic lowering of the n/s wind mirror when reversing and the boot not having an internal unlocking button. I've been struggling with seeing the display showing why its bleeping because I'm a bit close to something but I've now lifted the steering wheel it's better (duh!) but I'd prefer that display on the touch and go screen. Still struggling with driving economically since it's a bit boring but love the resulting MPG. Overall I'm very happy. It suits my lifestyle and it makes me smile

Love my 1.2T manual, and still getting a lot of looks.

Only things I would want is a sport mode botton on steering wheel, brake hold to be an automatic option and a power boot.

This sounds outrageous. I prefer cloth seats so was happy top of the range model comes with cloth. Can anyone here who has leather confirm they are just zip on covers?

These are the ones I would point out. Very pleased with mine coming from a slow 2.0 petrol Rav4.
The brake hold is a favourite with me but catches me out when I forget to switch it on. I wish sport mode would stay on.
Just done 1500 miles and it is a pleasure to the point I have decided to sell my immaculate Celica and use the CHR all of the time.

Can anyone tell me why it beeps at me as I am driving. No lane departure set.
It seems to do it coming up to speed cameras but no sign visible for camera to see. I am now wondering if it is speed cameras but it works it out from the sat nav - say 50 yards ahead even if I am not using it at the time. It is a double beep. It is a real puzzle and a little annoying.

Love it.
The economy is great.
Radar Cruise Control saves me heaps of frustration in traffic and lane departure keeps me centered (pun intended).
There are some great aftermarket customisation options available.

The only exception is the Australian Head Unit, the maps are out of date and it has no idea where many fixed speed and red light camera locations are and many roads I drive on apparently don't exist. The Toyota-Link Software App that Australians are forced to use is a waste of time and does not work on all phones.

I am replacing the Toyota head unit with an 8 inch Android 6.01 head unit to alleviate the map problem and give me back control. I live in a connected world and expect my car to be as functional as my phone. I deliberately chose a unit without CD player as CD's are a thing of the past. I can carry my entire music collection on a small device a fraction of the size of a CD and virtually in the cloud, why in this modern age would I want to fill the glove box with rattling plastic cases.
