What did you do with your C-HR today?

Every other forum I'm a member of has one of these threads as a sticky and it is well used with more posts than any other on the 5 x sites I frequent.

Cosmetic things mainly that make you feel good, from a wash, new tyre caps/accessories and wheels/tyres.

Can the Mods make it so? :D

As a first post I had Michelin CrossClimate+ XL tyres fitted today, and paid less than £450 all in (17 inch on my Icon) Plus I also get a free amazon Eco for buying 4! :)

Night and day difference and taking corners in the wet with these fitted and I realise what a wallowy old hector the Primacy 3's made the car feel like!

If/when I sell mine I'll put the original primacy 3's back on as the tyre size fits most nissan jukes and kumquat's, given that I've done 16k miles in 18 months and still have 6mm on the primacy 3's I should be able to sell the CC's for around £250 if they've the same

Collected my C-HR after its first service completed yesterday - everything green on the health check sheet apart from the air conditioning anti bacterial treatment I refused to pay extra for.

Hybrid health check completed successfully & updated status automatically on the My T app as its carried out by linking the vehicle in to a Toyota computer system.

The actual service wont show on the My T app for a few days until Toyota UK update the service history on there computer.

Still have the outstanding DCM software recall but that can wait until later in the year.

I never have the a/c anti bacterial service, leave it on all the time and in many years onlay had a smell once on a Lexus IS 250 and was cleared using a bomb from Halfords for about £10 and 15 minutes effort. All dealers offer it and its a clever money maker for them as lots of people pay for it

I've owned 6 vehicles with A/C before the C-HR & have always just left the A/C on all the time, I've never had a vehicle suffer from odour from the A/C system so I've never had to use a anti bacterial bomb on any of my previous vehicles.

Like you said its just a money making extra for the dealer.

Same here! Grant, really old cars with AC working to put as much cold air as possible...that's a different era! I still remember when temperature dial was there just for fun!
I'm still puzzled to see people with 2-3-4 years old cars with fogged windows! Just turn that AC on! It's the only way to remove moisture off the car. Moisture clogs filters, in addition to that "wet" feeling and smells soon to come...and there you go!
Some dealers will tell you keep the AC on, but most will never bother. Although it's a 20+ years old story.

Took the car to dealers for replacement vanity light fitting, catch was broken and hanging down, and mud flaps to be fitted. Came to collect and no mud flaps. I was told the maker had gone out of business, they will inform me when Toyota have found a replacement maker. Anyone know of this or is the dealer giving me a load of bull:poop:

Yes that is 100% true - its really going to affect availability of a lot of accessories like mudflaps utilising rubber components across the European Toyota market place.

If your wanting mudflaps grab them while you can when you spot stock.

Bit of a pain as they were part of the sales deal
That's a bit of a bummer 😕
Parked in the supermarket next to a Juke today, used to love the Juke shape, now no comparison to the C-HR, must be love in 💕
On the way back saw a rare sight a C-HV Taxi, not the obvious choice, driver must think it's good looks will draw in the customers 😂🤣

I've seen several C-hr taxis in Leicester. Cheap to run like a Prius I expect.
Took my mother for her COVID booster, I'm currently parked next to a C-HR GR Sport in dark Amethyst 🤣

There also another dark Amethyst C-HR parked nearby but its not a GR Sport 🤣

Pulled up on my drive and had 72mpg showing for my last journey

Wasn’t even trying to hyper-mile, just driving normally over about 15 miles of mixed roads

Lost weekend due to unwanted visitor, took a few bags of garden stuff to skips on Friday morning.
Later on went to get coat from the boot low and behold a silver trail greeted me from a slug Arghhhh.
Took out everything that was possible but the little bugger had gone to ground.
Next-day after laying slug pellets on plastic sheet inside boot thought I'd got him as one was a gonna looked like a liquorice all sort.
Job done WRONG Sunday opening the boot bit off a trail Arghhhh the feeling was he had a pal.
Spent most of Sunday torch in hand looking for it.
Monday morning just been out got him 👍.
Moral of this is wait till the recycling garden bin day don't take any notice of her indoors( when are you gonna take that to the skips) Never again.🙏

Coffee! If you have an expresso machine, get a couple of those "disks" and spread it around the car. Likely you have to spread it around the place/garden. Coffee filter residues will also work, not that efficient, but it works as well. If you're not a coffee person go to a coffee shop and ask for coffee residues. You'd be surprised you're not the first one asking for!
You can use chemicals, but coffee residues are exceptionally effective against slugs. And not toxic to grass or flowers.
I'm taking about actual coffee! Not plastic crap people are mistakenly use instead of coffee (I'm not going to use Swiss' company name).
Changed the LED Dome lights for Philips Ultinon Pro 3000 white 6000k ones, they look much better, and the reversing bulbs for Osram LEDriving SL White, not quite as good light cast as the bulbs, brighter, but they will do. Changed the wing mirror repeater lights for Philips Ultinon Pro6000 amber and they looked cr**p, put the original filaments back. Not always the upgrade you might expect

Drabisan,I'm a great coffee guy as Ive never touched the falling over water for 40yrs.
I knew about the coffee grinds thing, but there's an allotment society near us and was given this stuff it's not harmful to anything but slugs and it kills quickly I've watched them🙈
All clear so far 🙏.
Drabisan which Swiss thing you have me going now.?
If I'm Expresso it's Roma blend thru Nespresso Machine
I like coffee from Kenya etc for the fruit notes.
I also loved Lavazza.
But we have a local company who make a stunning medium roast with that soft nutty taste to it and they do nice almond biscuits to match.
Ps we own a bean to cup Machine also which is a little under used to be honest. Might change that soon tho.
All to our vices my friend mines coffee and BBQ. stay well all out there everyone.
