What did you do with your C-HR today?

Every other forum I'm a member of has one of these threads as a sticky and it is well used with more posts than any other on the 5 x sites I frequent.

Cosmetic things mainly that make you feel good, from a wash, new tyre caps/accessories and wheels/tyres.

Can the Mods make it so? :D

As a first post I had Michelin CrossClimate+ XL tyres fitted today, and paid less than £450 all in (17 inch on my Icon) Plus I also get a free amazon Eco for buying 4! :)

Night and day difference and taking corners in the wet with these fitted and I realise what a wallowy old hector the Primacy 3's made the car feel like!

If/when I sell mine I'll put the original primacy 3's back on as the tyre size fits most nissan jukes and kumquat's, given that I've done 16k miles in 18 months and still have 6mm on the primacy 3's I should be able to sell the CC's for around £250 if they've the same

Washed the winter road grim off - I cant get a hosepipe or extension lead anywhere near which limits the cleaning equipment options so 2 x 25 litre water containers & the trusty Worx Hydroshot came to the rescue.
Wasn't aiming for a thorough clean today, just to get the worst of the winter grim off, I'm gonna spend more time cleaning it properly in a couple of weeks.

Well seeing as Worx have a sale on certain items via there official Ebay store, I've invested in a 2nd 4Ah battery & also a cordless vacuum to help with the car cleaning.

For all the earlier GR Sport owners here's a little cheap upgrade you can do.

From November 2022 production Toyota have added a GR badge to the bottom spoke of the steering wheel, if you fancy an upgrade then the stick on badge is £16.49 including the VAT ( at time of posting this ) from your local Toyota dealer parts counter - its a special order part so unlikely to be in stock.

It also comes in a fitting template with instructions so easy to fit correctly.

I'm going to fit it later in the week & ill post a picture up of once its fitted.

Took mine for a run to the local Lexus dealer, looks like our relationship is coming to a divorce!

Why have you fallen out ?
Firstly let me say that The C-HR is a lovely car. Design wise it's up there with the best and always has been. It's down to me being rash and how the Showroom Gleam bamboozled me into a bad decision. I changed from a 66 Lexus NX and when you get to a certain age the extra comforts such as sound-proofing and more generous elbow room become quite important. The UX isn't that much different to the C-HR in size but it's a little more box shaped for upper body space and Lexus do know how to quieten down a car.
I knew straight away that the C-HR didn't suit me and even advertised on here. I'm losing a fortune on the deal but if anyone wants a 4 month old 1.8GR sport with 2.4k on the clock then a bargain is to be had!

So have you ordered a new UX?
Not new. 21 plate. Similar value to the 4 month old CHR

Is it under the £40k luxury car tax radar?

Oh yes, I'm already out of pocket, my own fault, and I don't want to feel even more foolish!

Had the Toyota AA breakdown cover renewal letter arrive - its £89 for another 12 months of cover which isn't a bad figure for the level of cover & peace of mind.

Also renewed the road tax for 12 months which was £155.

I've gone and done it guys. 8 month old Lexus UX. Picking it up on Wednesday next week. Anyone want to buy a genuine Toyota Boot Liner and a tray for the between-the-seats storage? Collection from Leicestershire (Mountsorrel) or Leicester North or Loughborough! I paid an absurd price but any offer will be considered. Only used since last October.
