Contact your local Toyota dealer. I had a similar problem accessing MyToyta as mine is a personal lease and I don't have the V5. Took a while to get Toyota to understand my problem, they got the message when they had to do a simple software update because I couldn't download it myself. While it was in they sorted the code I needed and I'm all set up with a MyToyota account now.

To be fair the dealers were very helpful in the end but I did explain I shouldn't have had to waste my time and theirs to start with trying to access the code.

Alan, you really should add some commas, dots or new lines to your sentences/paragraphs/whatever these are. I can't figure out the meaning in most of them
I'm sorry that Alan.s is saying he wants to leave the forum following his post. I understood his post totally, especially having had a similar issue in the same country and got it resolved.

Perhaps the language difference between countries here has caused confusion, but if we're getting into highlighting unnecessary issues on this forum with language differences in relation to "commas" and "dots" with a forum for people from different countries It's a forum which is going to stop a lot of people joining in my opinion.

Please be respectful to others on the forum, but be understanding we may not all be from the same country.

Alan.s I understood your post. I hope you get it resolved. It was frustrating for me too. But I hope going to your main Toyota dealer gets it resolved for you too.

I didn't mean to offend anyone, but...
I know three languages - native Lithuanian, English and Russian. Every single of them has almost the same punctuation rules. I really couldn't understand a meaning of most of his posts here until I've read each of them for at least 5 times. If he's really from Essex and already can drive a car, I can't see how he hasn't got enough education to at least separate the sentences. I doubt it's easier for us (I don't think I'm alone here) to waste minutes reading over and over his posts than for him to put no effort and add a couple of second in writing a post.
Sorry not sorry. I can accept this "no education" excuse if he's a five year old. If he really has not enough education, I wonder how he could get a driving licence. Wouldn't want to meet such a driver on the streets :/

Sorry but you start your post with you "don't mean to offend anyone" and then the rest of your post goes on to do just that and so much more!

Thank you Robbo. I use a forum as a chat place not somewhere to write essays
I am actually 64 yrs of age and drove coaches internationally for 30 odd years.
I didn't have any problems getting my licenses.

So you can write. Then why to say you don't have an education?

I just wanted to explain why I wrote about the punctuation at all. I'm out of this topic.

I used to be a teacher of English. At no time have I felt the need to get out a red pen on this forum- though at times have had to read some posts more than once in order to understand them. However, I have sometimes felt the need to "have words" with some contributors who fail to show others some respect, courtesy and patience.
This is a forum for all. We all have our strengths and weaknesses; we all have something to offer; nobody is forcing anybody else to be here. Disagreements are a part of life- but so is sharing our commonality. We all have something to learn- let's not forget that.

How is this post offensive? I just pointed out to use punctuation, because I really barely could understand Alan's posts. Right away I've got accused of insulting him. That's when I wrote what was on my mind. Yes - truth and inconvenient opinion is not easily accepted most of the times.
