- Yes (a lot)Has anyone had windscreen replaced yet ?
- No one has had an issue repeat (or they didn't say anything, which I doubt)And if so has everything worked out well or are you still having issues?
- Depend on a dealer, because some had replaced in a couple days and some in a few weeks timeAnd if the supply is an issue how long are we expected to wait ?
- Reasonable what? Waiting time? New glass durability? What is classed as reasonable ?
I agree with you the minimum you may aspect from Toyota UKPad1966uk said:So any of the above questions I've asked you personally cannot answer thanks for the input but none of it helps mr karmalakas
So the questions go out to those who have had a replacement
Those currently in talks over a replacement
And those being fobbed off by the dealerships !!!!
And before those who say teething issues we are Guinea pigs new car etc etc
This car was shown at Geneva motor show in 2014 who much time do they need to get it right?
I didn't spend £29000 to be a tester otherwise I would have expected a big discount !!!!
And yes I love the look of the car love the drive the way its presence on the road gets people to second look !
I've built this car on Toyota website more than fifty times besotted with it !!!
So I'm asking questions to get a clearer picture from people who know it's happening to them now
They have answers I possibly need to know we are all in this together
My biggest concern is that there is now over a hundred cars with damaged screens and more to come even those not sold yet !!!
All need to be changed
Where is toyota uk with a response to this now ever increasing problem!!
Not quite sure why you feel the need to be so rude to another member to be honest?Pad1966uk said:I've read back to front thanks mr karmalakas
Are you giving me straight answers no! Lots no are you a politician by chance ?
Look don't bother replying please it's like watching paint dry
Mines been with the dealer for a day now and no update on when it will be ready as yetPad1966uk said:If your car has no issues with its windscreen congratulations this is not a question for you
If you have issues with your windscreen please feel free to read the first post and message all information will be welcomed
Many thanks
My car does not have an issue, yet. That does not mean people don't have information to contribute. My post was factual. I was with my Toyota Fleet Business Manager and he showed me the email from Toyota detailing the issue and the resolution and the fact they were considering a recall.Pad1966uk said:Ok I have read the topic and posted on the topic
I am looking for individuals who are dealing with ,had done the windscreens
Not somebody spouting what he has read and repeating the same again in a very rude manner !!!
Facts that's the name of the game not what I've read
Facts and truths
The problems growing they keep selling cars !!!!!
Merlywerly have you got a problem with your car ?

As the last conversation is that the dealership I purchased from was receiving twenty screens but getting them is a bit of a problem i.e. Demand is quite high at the minute
And if the supply is an issue how long are we expected to wait ?
What is classed as reasonable ?
I am hoping that I don't hear of a failed second screen!!
As far as I am aware I was one of the first if not the first to notice a crack in my windscreen (on the day I collected it on the 1st of march 2017)
No more issues
Took 3 Days for my replacement screen.
I wasn't fobbed off, in fact the staff at my dealership were excellent and sympathetic.
I have asked the question in the Forum if anyone had a second failed screen and no response to date.
Other than the screen problem which I view now as a minor inconvenience the car is excellent
Enjoy your car Pad1966uk
