Tyre shine on brakes and tyres

unfortunately Toyota ignored my request to not use chemical cleaners on my car. The alloys and tyres were dripping. I didn't realise till it flung all up my plastics.

Now I feel sick when I use the brakes or the wheels warm up and have had a headache since collecting it. Yes i know its full of glues etc but its only the rubber spray I can smell when the reactions hit.

So after refusing to help and scratching my car trying to wipe it off I asked if they could supply the next wheel size up. Il keep the smaller ones for winter maybe.

The parts guy kept hiding and being argumentative like im trying for a freebie. He refuses to offer up the part numbers saying once you have bought 17s you cant change the spec quoting liability and legal ramifications.

What bs? Has anyone else bought another set from the dealer? I've now got a 24k car I cant drive far.

Do you have the nano-e system in the ventilation system on your version?

Some people become nausious of thr ionized air.
The nano-e logo is displayed in the middle of the climate controls.

The system can be turned off at the dealer.

It is just a suggestion. I know how frustrating it can be if people ignore you and don't understand you get ill of certain stuff.
It doesn't say I have the nanoe but my rav4 may have and I had to sell it. It does get worse with the fan on. But the stupid battery cooling fan makes the car a vacuum sucking in any local fumes. Doh
get them to take it to a professional detailers and get it all stripped off ,it will cost them but not as much as a new set of wheels
the batterys are under the back seat, i had the tyre treatment on my car and it didnt smell. you maybe just smelling the new brakes seating in. but if your not happy get the professionals to look at it (valeted).
Humidifying NanoeTM air purifier Excel only
What about a simple soap and rinse? A brush with warm soapy water should do the job in no time.
Steam cleaner would remove it as well
I spent an hour with brake cleaner today. Its all over the outer pad and disc. Like black oil. Now it doesn't stench when I brake. An old guy who barely has his senses left could smell it 6 feet from the car so thankfully its not just me.

We have tried soapy brushes and jet wash but it still slowly leaches out the tyre on the motorway. The spots on my plastics are getting smaller and fewer. The mechanics checked the brake fluids etc just in case.

Unless you have had MCS you wouldn't understand. Some people cant even touch other people with fabric softner on their clothes. So it could be worse.

They are trying to find me a tyre donor and il guess il have to postpone my touring holiday again.

Yes the battery is under the seat so when it sucks cool cabin air it gets replaced by whatever is outside your car. Like a fire place in a house as it burns it sucks in air from under doors etc.
