Hello, I've just changed my tires and was surprised to find that I have TPMS sensors even though I didn't opted for this.
Please confirm that this(image attached) is in fact a TPMS sensor and advise me how to activate them.

This was on my accessory list and the cost was at about 220 euros.
I didn't opt for these and they are not activated.

Romania is a member of the EU so TPMS is mandatory.
So I think you have it on your Car.
So I don,t understand why you have to pay extra for it to get it activated.
I suppose the one on the accessory list are for if you buy an extra set of winter wheels with tires.

Legislation TPMS obligation
The European Union has subsequently obliged TPMS for two-phase vehicles in category M1.
This concerns passenger cars and campers with no more than eight seats, excluding the driver, and one
permissible weight up to 3.5 tons. EU Regulation 661/2009 laid down safety requirements to which
Cars must comply to obtain type approval. This stipulates that vehicles in the
Category M1 must have a tire pressure control system. The requirements to the system
must be complied with in UN-ECE Regulation 64 (UN-ECE R64). TPMS became 1 November 2012
Mandatory for new passenger cars that qualify for approval from that date
came. As of November 1, 2014, TPMS is mandatory for any new vehicle of category M1.

Activation is done by programming the sensor numbers using Toyota Techstream software. There are videos on You Tube which shows the process.

I expect the sensors are already been activated becourse the TPMS system is mandatory by law.

Standard the cheapest CHR model in Romania has TPMS so I am sure that every CHR has it as standard.

Hmm... Interesting.. I saw it on the accessories list so I naturally thought I don't have it.

Any idea on how I could test this?
Maybe deflate the tires a bit to see if the system gives me an alert?
Shouldn't the system reset when I've changed the tires?

You have to initialize again.
