Toyota Touch 2 Navigation

Hi All,

First time with a Toyota and trying to see if there is an option to send journeys to Navigation system externally.

I used to use a Tom Tom, which has a Mobile App where you can plan your journeys, favourites, POIs and Send a Destination beforehand or whilst driving. It was great because a passenger could plan a journey and send a new destination to the Tom Tomy without me having to do it whilst driving, which can be dangerous!

I have signed into My Toyota in the CHR car system and can't see any options in My Toyota Mobile App.

Any advise or help would be appreciated. Apologies if I missed anything obvious!

You can certainly do it from PC using the (useless and slow) MyToyota website (did I mention it's slow?). Cannot do it from the app. Who knows if may be added in future?
Thanks guys... yeah I know how slow website is.

To be honest the My Toyota App is slow as well. It seems to be a nice GUI over the website and has to sync all info over eveytime I open it!

Hopefully they will get better!

Doubt it - it's been like that for at least couple of years
You can also send them from Google Maps to your car (which wil redirect you trough the Toyota portal).

Make sure you have a Google account and add your car:
Google Send to Car

Select Toyota as manufacturer and enter your Toyota Customer Portal username as Account ID.

When using Google Maps (while logged in onto Google) and have created a trip you can select: Send To Phone. When you select this you will be presented some selections under which you can find the car you have added.
After selecting your car you will be redirected to the customer portal and have to enter your password. After this the trip will be ready to be send to the car.
As soon as your car has wifi (or hotspot) the car will download this trip to your favourites in the Touch and Go system.
I found out that it seems that you may only send one waypoint via Google Maps, if you send more it seems to fail. Have not found out yet at what criteria it fails.

That's some news to me.
Tried to send map to Toyota with no luck. I get We were unable to send this destination. Please try again.
Could it be, you have to have a car registered at customer portal? In such a case I'll have to wait for a few months.
Maybe I'm trying with the wrong ID? Is it the same as login username at https://customerportal.toyota-europe.com/login/index.html?
I don't if your car has to be registered, mine is ;)
@mjvdzwet that is a good find - thank you
Google send to car does not work for me. It hangs at the Toyota web portal page (submit button does nothing)

Actually same here.
I have just tested it again. Select a point on the map and select send to phone. Then select the car.

Multiple waypoints doesn't work.
Did you register your car?
Can you add trips in the Toyota portal and send those to your car?

Yes and I send trips all the time. All very odd.

I wonder if it is web browser specific what are you using?
My guess would be that because the "My Toyota" site is so slow at responding that Google is timing out
I have used Edge and Chrome.

Agree this is likely
I am having problems with losing the connection with my hotspot on my iPhone. The only traffic-info you receive is TMC and that is not enough. Any others same problem?
Here in the Netherlands we use the European portal site, not myToyota.
