Hello,
Each time i try to use some online service it tries connecting to server and then shows error message:
"Oops! An error has occurred, please try again. Code: 40036"
The car is connected to internet through 4G WiFi router installed by the dealer behind the glove box. I tried turning my phone into hotspot and connect the car to it and same error appeared, however my phone and the sim card in the 4G router are from same carrier.
Also tried connecting to home wifi network and same error code appeared.

Does your phone connect through the router OK or is it just the car that can not connect. You can set the car to send and receive data from Toyota automatically and once registered it should work

My phone works ok through the car router.
I created account in my.toyota.eu, added the VIN of the car, entered the multimedia ID.
Then entered the account in toyota multimedia and it connected fine.
But online services do not work.

What are you trying to do?
Twitter is out of order lately :)

There are country specific web sites. I couldn't connect to my.toyota.eu (Europe) to register my vechile. I had to choose the Greek web site.
Just an idea...

I was trying any online service - weather, load poi, transfer my settings to my.toyota.eu everything resulting in error 40036
I deleted the account and created new one from the multimedia and now it works fine.

That is good advice for anyone trying to connect, use your specific country website rather than the EU site
