I have noticed there is a slight play (movement) in the metal top disc on the gear stick. Basically the bit with the numbers and R on and not the whole knob. Its only about a millimetre clock wise/anti clockwise but its noticible when you have the knob in the palm of your hand and change gear. Any one else find the same ? May call in and have a play with the one in the local showroom. If that one is solid I may ask the dealer to replace my knob

Most probably very easy to stick back on with superglue it will save you a trip, sorry mines cvt

You can use knife - under chrom ring, lift up gear stick. Add some dual adhesive tape or silicon [DON'T USE SUPER GLUE] & press again. But care about leather...
