OK...strange not to face this in my first 1500 kilometers but it happens! It was my 3rd refill I think and tank is almost empty now. Allright I know i'm gonna refill tomorrow and check the liters, but does anyone knows how fuel light works? Ιn my previous skoda light goes on in about last 50-60 kms and i knew when i see zero in indicator it was really zero left! Today in CHR I had a reserve of 63 kms in the evening and I drove an uphill. Light goes on. After some time with no press light goes normally off and I reach destination and I saw 35 kms left. An hour later start my engine to return home. Fuel light goes on, but cannot seen anymore the rest kilometers/fuel in my tank. Just some dashes! I drove about 15 kilometers but no indication.

I take a look in analog indicator and seen its up for a little. But how much is this? When lastly the light goes on? Is anything left in the tank after...dashes?

When you can not see how many kilometres are left, it means that the range is limited. In reality you have about 5 litres left in tank. Also its not good idea to let the car going with limited gasoline (light on), as it sucks all the residues and its really bad for the injectors.

All my Toyota cars have that.. the fuel light is lit when there is still about 10L of fuel left.

As I mentioned in another topic about this I think there is about 5 litre left when the needle is on completely empty.

I never managed to get more then 38 litre in the tank. The needle didn't move anymore.

But... The tank has an odd shape, so if it is nearly empty and you are on an incline it is possible no fuel can be pumped into the engine.

I was trying to understand the equation "Remaining kms in indicator - Remaining kms after dashes - Real remaining kms".
The light goes on in about 35-38 remaining and somwhere there dashes appear in indicator. Right?
So, the same time i have in my tank 35-38 kms plus 5litres? Which are also about 50-60 kilometres? Totally about 100 kms reserve after light goes on and dashes apper?

Or i wish to be so? :D

Refuel day today! I'll be back with results
Fuel light on and dashes appeared about at 35 kilometers reserve. I drove 15 kilometers, so I might have about 20 kilometers or...about 1,5 litre left. So the space in tank will show me what's undercover dashes

Of course numbers are ideally.
