Has anyone had a dog in the back of their car, i.e. removed the parcel shelf? Thinking of getting senor ruffles to give it a go.....

I named my dog senor ruffles.

My dog travels with me in the backseat of the car. I have those seats covered witch enough blankets that will protect them.

My dog has his own safety belt (got it at the pet store). So he can't really move alot but he doesn't really want to. When driving he almost always goes for a nap and sleeps the whole trip.

I've had as many as 8 dogs at the same time and they've always traveled on the back seat, but they are a small breed so no issues.

Never any accidents and they travel well but have always used car seat covers just in case.

Won't your Chihuahua feel slightly lost in the boot A Dawg? :) :D

Yes, we have removed the parcel shelf and she has travelled in the boot but we have had to invest in a ramp and its to hight for her to jump up, and we can't lift 24kg of Airedale
She jumps down though.

Regards
