Hi

So basically I scraped my car on my garden wall as I was parking and it’s scratched my front bumper. The paint has been removed and you can now see the metal surface

What would be the best way to correct this as I’m really stressing out? It belongs on finance and I need to fix all damages before my lease

Is it worth buying the actual colour from third party businesses and using it as a touch up spray/pen fill? Or do I go straight to toyota and get the full touch up

Please help thanks

£150 😭 daym I was hoping it’ll be less that £80

do you think it’s worth buying a spray bottle with the exact colour code alongside primer to do the job myself?

I’ve never had to deal with this type of situation before.
Don't walk the cheap way! Unless you know what you're doing.
I used Chips Away to repaint a similar scratch, I can't remember the price, but it wasn't too expensive. Less than 0.5% of the value of the car :)
And the job was perfect! Couldn't tell where it was. And I've seen my former car in parking and it was still looking great after 4 years.

yeah exactly, my excess is already high haha

chips away got back to me and quoted £216 :/
Yikes, makes the £399 for 3 years cover and 4 incidents a year seem good value. Stone chips seem to be attracted to my car for some reason!

Be careful on that offer.

The size of the damage is very limited under the scheme.

Doubt OPs scratch would have been covered

Yep I checked it out and basing it on the size of scratches and stone chips I got on my old car, this price was a steal.
If you bought it from a Toyota dealer, did you pay for any of the extra protections when you bought the car? If so then you can file a claim first then use the quote/ bill to claim the cost back.

I've done that for the tyres and the alloys before and it's saved me probably a grand already.
