Sat nav volume

I tried the sat nav for the first time yesterday and noticed when the sat nav instructions were given they were hard to hear because they didn't mute the music .Is there any settings that can rectify this?
Thanks.

In the audio menu you can alter the satnav volume.
However, in the touch 2 systeem the volume is always related to the audio volume.

Even if you put the navigation volume at max, but turn the audio very low. The satnav is bearly hearable.
Many thanks, have increased sat nav volume to max 5 but don't think it will make that much difference as It was set to 4.

Safe driving.
I have filed a complaint about it at Toyota. In my previous Auris the music volume was lowered and the satnav volume was a seperate setting, not dependant on the music volume. Far better.
I think the satnav volume is a seperate setting. If the navi speeks then you kan higher the volume independend from the music.

It is a delta related to the music volume unfortunately.
yep definitely goes up and down with the music level
use the volume buttons on the steering wheel when the sat nav is talking. this for me raised the sat nav voice but not the radio volume

This.
Volume up during speech and all is good.
Well after increasing the volume for the sat nav in the settings the instructions are now too loud!
I suppose this is better than not hearing it at all.

You can put the volume down a little.
If you read the post you will see the volume was originally set at 4 ,I then put it up to 5.

I have read it then you keep,it on 5.
If you had read the post you would have seen 4 too quiet and 5 too loud!

Oke solved.
Just turn the audio (media) volume down. .. And unfortunately the navi volume goes along.
Or even easier press the settings cog wheel go to General and it is the top one in volume.
