Hi. This is my first post so apologies if this has been asked / covered before.
I have fitted some roof bars to my CHR and Im Not sure if they are sitting right. They aren’t the official ones from Toyota so don’t know if that makes a difference.
The instructions were poor so I’ve just lined the bars up using images from Google.
My question is…. Does the back bar seem fitted correctly. Should it be tight to the car as there is a slight gap. The front bar seems a bit snugger so there is minimal gap.

If you open each door you will see a rubber grommet in the roof sill. The Toyota bars are located by the grommets. The rear Toyota bar has more height to compensate for the roof slope. What make are they?

Doesn’t look right to me, as rear bar lower than front.

Not an expert on roof bars, but I’m an engineer and with the front bar higher the wind uplift at speed when bars are loaded could mean a real danger of separation

Just checked the bars. The rears are covering the grommet but as there non oem they don’t fit in as such, guessing that’s why I have the extra brackets… but the fronts are way off so I’ll look at adjusting those.
