Good morning,

I am a new member here. :D
I'm thinking of buying this car (1.2T) but there is a dilemma here. I like the version with black roof and 18" rims but i am concerned about comfy. Is the car comfortable with these rims?
On the other hand, the version with 17" rims does not have black colored roof.

I have only took a test drive with 17" rims C-HR and it was okay.

What do you propose? :?

Ride quality is one of the key design features of this car according to Toyota so it should be good with whatever size rime you choose.
I drove both. Hybrid with 18" wheels and 1.2T with 17" wheels. There is no discount in driving feeling because of the size. To be honest I left my dilemma hiding behind the rims and the black roof.. if this helps you ;) I really love the top versions but i said "ok, i can have something lower, so let's find a reason"

Riding quality is top in this car so, my advise is to buy what you really love :)

Yes. I choose Dynamic so as to have also Petrol and Black roof. Machined face rims looks better also. The only negative point here is economical. Higher version price, higher tyre change cost and a bit higher consumption. But riding is still enjoyable. And depending your country road surface maybe better.
18 here and black roof, treat yourself

We live in the same country (Greece), so i am still thinking...

I went for the Excel and just going to pay to have the roof wrapped black :) So I get interior I want, with the black roof I want :) ...and saved money.. win win
Question for owners.
In a scale of 1 to 10, how comfortable is ride with 18" rims?

If I compair it to my former Car Polo GT with 17 inch rims (215/40 R 17) then the CHR is an 8 (polo 6)
I have 18" winter tyres Nokian r2, let`s say 8!
I am waiting for summer tyres season, they are also 18" Michelin!

Uti
:)

I repeat the question for owners with 17" rims.
its a ten from me on 18"
its really not an issue as the suspension is so good.
i had 19" on the merc and it killed the ride

See what makes people but this car http://www.chrforums.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=372.
Having just gotten mine with 18" I would rate it a ten. Never had such a comfy car.
Compared to my previous A Class it is a 20. We have a lot of potholes and it just smooths them out. Hard to explain you know it hit them but they just get smoothed out.
Very comfortable 9
10 on 17" rims, really irons out the ride and road imperfections better than anything I've ever driven, whether FWD/RWD/AWD
