I like a good pollen filter and wasnt surprised to find the cheapest looking plastic filter id ever seen in there.

So unless anyone has found a better solution heres a nice one thats slightly too long. Should be easy to trim down 20mm off the end. Its for a ford fiesta 1.6 2003 if you dont need an all singing one like I do look up another

Use code SAVE30 at the moment .

My aircon barely does anything so hoping a filter that isnt plastic might help airflow too.

Its slightly taller and 20mm needs trimming off but im now safe from coolant diesel gas 2.5pm soot fungi mould and pollen yay.

The standard one might just stop leaves if you are lucky. Wood Hood Grille Gas Automotive tire

Ps I did this as aftermarket ones arnt showing for the chr yet.

The standard one is a hard rough single layer of cellulose plastic. No carbon, no fibres. Its 0.5mm thick.

New one is 3mm thick with all different layers to do different jobs.

The difference to me is it now traps contaminants and I don't feel as sick when I drive.

My cars coolant is already on low at 4000 miles so I probably have a leak and its supposed to catch that too.

I thought the original was carbon too.
I'm thinking about putting a carbon+hepa filter in.

I think the measurements are the same as the Auris.

A cross reference to another model would be great. Although it was nice to see all the thick layers of carbon etc as I modified the one I bought. Other ones ive had listed as carbon just had a dusting in the fibres.

Im 90 percent certain there is no carbon in the oem one. Classic cost cutting where it cant be seen.

Missing the best option, original carbon filter from Toyota. No shipping costs and fits 100%

What worries me is that a few Prius owners in the US say that the carbon one is cheaper than the pollen one and that the car comes with the carbon one from the factory. Is it possible that the carbon one was tested and had the 1% filtration?

Just stop breathing and you dont need a air filter at all.. :D

I think any air filter will do its job. In my previous cars there was no air filter at all. For years and did not miss it.
When im walking down the street im without any air filter at all... so dont get too scared about the type of air you use right now. ;)

This got me laughing but it's kinda true.......except when you are stuck in traffic.

Just bought this for about nine quid:

https://ebay.us/2mBTHr

It's a Blue Print Pollen / Cabin Filter ADT32552 ADL - and it claims to be an activated carbon one. According to the spec sheet of 'Applicable Vehicles', it fits my Hybrid (I triple-checked the measurements…), as well as a boat-load of other cars: i.e. Lexus RX, Hilux, and the 2015-onwards Prius 1.8 Hybrid.

I shall report back.

At the moment (because of various medical conditions), I am using this…

…in my C-HR - and it does a good job… - at least as measured by my faithful Plume Labs 'Flow':

Did you get this sorted "homeward", as it's something I want to do. But i need to make sure it fits and is better function than the one in the car.
