Hi, has anyone has such an issue so far? Was drivi going down the hill coming from highway.

I second that. Never one bar.
Contact your dealer. With no battery. car won't start at all. That's what I've been told. Careful.

The OP car is a 1.8 hybrid so it doesn't have an alternator fitted.

The regen braking question will be for the traction battery.

Thread dragged up yesterday by a newbie - also got to remember the USA never got hybrid powered C-HR - they got the under powered 2 litre engine with crap failure prone CVT as there only option.
