When I picked up my C-HR the range said 359 miles. After my first gas up it says 247. I drive it an average of 363 miles on 11.9 gallons of fuel but the range always starts at 247. Dealer says it needs to build up more data and to never fill up unless near empty.
Other than finding a new dealer any ideas out there.

Do you fill it up when the engine is cold? If you have only driven a short distance from cold then perhaps the range is calculated from the mpg for that short trip?

The range should be calculated by all you're mileage to say it needs more data after the mileage you've driven is rubbish

Mine is on 4000 miles and after a refill will show around 500 miles range, so I do think your calcs are off.

I wonder if they made a mistake in the software for reading US gallons (17% smaller than imperial)?
