Hi all,
New here, so please forgive my ignorance as I also don't know a lot about cars at all!
Hoping for some advice please.
I purchased a 2019 Hybrid C-HR a few months back, first hybrid I've owned so I'm learning!
I use it pretty regularly and everything has been fine, except on two occasions it's failed to start at first.
Foot on brake, press the start button and everything kind of fires up, A/C, music etc but as soon as I put it into gear I get a loud continuous beep, few lights are on the dash and it says: car not ready to drive, and various other messages such as pre collision detection disabled, and I think it also says something about the ABS being disabled along with Hyrbid not ready. Sorry I'm paraphrasing and should've written it all down! It just means it's not completely clear to me what the actual issue is.
Anyway, after about 20 mins of trying on and off it then starts up.
The battery health is good when I check as soon as I've started driving it, so I'm a bit confused as to why this has happened, only twice, but that's too many times!
Should I buy a little jump started or a solar trickle charger, or do you think it's a different issue?
Thank you for any help or advice, massively appreciated.
Secondary question if I leave a cable plugged into the USB port does it drain any power when the car is off?
Thanks
Gem
