I was sent a customer survey from Land Rover a couple of years ago and they asked what people would like to see in cars, one of the questions was for or against a CD player, the majority went against wanting a CD player. A sign of the times or better said a sign of things to come
Just download you're CD s onto a stick then leave it in the USB port. That's what I've done and it works perfect as it gives you by artist or album and you don't need to carry all those CDs with you 👌👍
Wake Up! We are in the 21th Century!
No one use a CD player anymore!
Use your Apple Music App, and you can listen to any kind of music or performer, any time through your smartphone Bluetooth connection  :!:
I think CD players in cars are so out of date so I'm not bothered that it doesn't have one. I got rid of my cd collection years ago, I Bluetooth music now
I'm feeling very old,i still purchase vinyl and CDs.(in fact every week!)
That's not to say I haven't moved with the times as I have a hard drive system at home to stream Music through the house, but I still enjoy the tactile side of playing vinyl or CDs.(boy I sound old)
And yes I have usbs with music for the car.
But I really miss my Mark Levison system WITH CD PLAYER!
Everyone wanting a CD player should have bought the lowest base package C-HR It has one. And a plus of that is - there's no laggy infotainment system at all ;D
