Why do you need them to come on when you open the doors? They come on when you start the car.

Is there a way for the headlights to come on at night when you open the doors.?
I know how the follow me home headlights work but can't find out how to have the headlights come on at nights when you open the doors.

On my golf that l used to have when you clicked to open the doors the lights came on at night. It was a nice thing when parked up in a dark place or when walking up to the car in a dark car park/drive way.david63 said:Why do you need them to come on when you open the doors? It is not possible, there is no leaving home function.
Follow me home works differently than on your Golf. When you have turned the car off. Pull the highbeam lever towards you (like flashing). Now the headlights will stay on for about 30 seconds.
