Here's a bit of opinions on auto brake hold

I personally find it pretty useless. I don't mind keeping a foot on a brake pedal for a minute (someone also mentioned that). If you need to keep it longer, the Brake Hold also disengages after a couple of minutes and it warns you to put your foot on the brakes.

I suppose some people like it. Personally, I don,t need it for the last 15 year (since I drive automatic) I keep my foot on the brake.
Maybe in the future, they make something that keeps the car in the Sports mode and that seems attractive to me.
