Hi,

Can anyone can give me info. on whether or not the vehicles bought from japan, if the language on the instrument panel (in between the speedometer and tachometer - that little screen there) as well as on the radio can be easily converted.

Most vehicles in Trinidad are being imported from Japan...and i love this vehicle I just think it'll really suck if some of the stuff is in japanese...

Help!

I'm in UK but mine was built-in Japan but for UK so it's all in english
I'd suggest it's a dealer problem nd just let them sort it. They can't expect too leave it in a foreign language and in any case I'd assume it's a software tweak or download
Hope you get it sorted

Thanks! Trying to get the info. I've actually seem cars with the Japanese here in Trinidad though, that's why I'm sketchy about it. Calling around with dealers and so far nothing. Only other option is to import from England, which costing a bit more...

Fingers crossed! I love this vehicle!

If buying new then I would expect that it would be a UK spec car that's supplied since you in Trinny drive on the left (like the UK) with the steering wheel on the right.....also it's an English speaking country

However as they also drive on the left in japan I suspect that the dealer has purchased some Japanese spec'd models.

As has been said the computer language can be changed easily, plus the satnav etc should also be able to be changed easily enough :?:

I thought that the UK models were built in Turkey - when did it change to Japan?
Really not sure how it works as I know most came out of turkeyn however my batch was at sea from Japan to Bristol when my dealer reserved it. So many people questioned me when I said this earlier I double checked with dealer and yes Land of Rising sun

Its simple.. just check your VIN and if its really build in Japan it will start with JT. If it is build in Turkey it will start with NMT

Hi I am Japanese and my car was built in Japan.
But, My car display setting can be changed to English.
See the photo.
In the photo 2, press "display setting", then move to the next screen.
In the photo 3, you can see the language on the top of the list. Push the language button, then move to the next screen.
In the photo 4, you can select English and then display setting changes to Enlish.

Good luck.

Toyota normally build early production runs in Japan plants until main assembly plant ( Turkey ) is producing to quality standard. They also supplement volume at times when main plant is behind or experiencing production issues.
If you've got one from Japan, lucky you!
