Just wanted to share a photo to show what the C-HR looks like in infrared (not entirely true, I know..). Still rather cool I think :) Tire Wheel Vehicle Car Hood

Yes, not really used infrared light sensor. Engine & break disks shout be lightly more marked... Unless the car was so cold ;)

Its infrared herman, not thermal!

Also true infrared photography with modern dslr's need a lot of work (sensor modding, filters etc...)

BTW interesting photo, I like it

Herman that's a photo of a racing car, most likely taken at the Nürburgring during the 24hrs race or a VLN Race and from the bonnet I'd say it was a Caddy

Sorry to jump on this - but i am developing a new sport ;)

Anyway I am lucky enough to have in my tool kit for my job a FLIR camera - so I thought I would do the following after seeing Hermans irrelevant pictures of a random car.

This shot is taken before the car has moved (ambient temperature 30 degrees C) it has been in the sun most of the day.

Wheel Tire Hood Vehicle Automotive lighting

I then did the following journey home from work - combination of city / motorway / country lanes - using mainly regenerative braking rather than full brakes.

Automotive lighting Vehicle Communication Device Automotive design Gadget

and this is the result after I pulled up.

Oh and I too like the Infrared picture in the original post - very surreal.

Great post, if you get a chance can you do one of the engine bay after a run? it would be interesting to see the difference in electric and petrol temps

Yeah no problem.

Will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon as I just dropped mine off this morning for its 2 day detailing - will set a new thread up as soon as I can.
