Thanks Alex, it made for a good read :)

Must be doing sommat right as have achieved 59.5mpg over 9k miles and my 12 mile drive to work is usually done at 70-99mpg in temps over 10 degrees

For best economy I've found

1) Don't use aircon or heaters unless uncomfortable
2) Coast up to roundabouts and junctions with minimal brake usage
3) On a particularly long 2 mile straight b road with a 60mph limit I use max acceleration for 4 secs at the brow of the hill and coast down the other side for 3/4 of a mile hitting the 30mph limit at exactly 30...in most cases my MPG rises by 0.1 just doing that :D

I must have done something right when I took one out for a couple of hours and got 70mpg. I found it quite easy to change my way of driving, having never driven a hybrid or automatic before I was surprised that I only reached for my gears a couple of times. I can't wait to pick up my new Dynamic metal stream next saturday
