Hi, all

I have question to ask.

Normally, when going down hill, hybrid system charges?
I experienced that on the long down hill (around 10km) it charged fully then last 2km of downhill, it started draining. I do not understand why it did not charge, but drained. I also used brake to regenerated but it only drained. IAnyone has same experience?

How odd this happened to me yesterday. Its never done it before. 1 mile downhill but empty at the bottom.

Maybe the main pack was being health cycled/checked by the computer.

My 12v battery was dead so this may have had something to do with it?

In my previous Auris (2010) electric mode did not always work when entering city limits after driving for more then 15 minutes on the highway above 120km/h.

This new generation hybrid still does the same occasionally.
I asked Toyota about it with my Auris, but nobody could tell me why this happens.
The battery is full or 2 bars down in these occasions and airconditioning is off. Drive mode is eco.

I've had exactly the same thing happen downhill, also I've had electrical assistance not come on when it should, with the latter I've just helped it to 'wake-up' by pressing the EV button and regardless if 2 bars or full, the assistance kicks in a few seconds later.

seems to be a lot of people not actually looking where they are going and what is going on around them that is more worrying to me. thank god for all the safety features
i dont even look at it just let it do its thing ,if there was anything wrong im sure it would let you know ,drive safe is better than dead

When driving your C-HR just ask yourself... who is in charge? :D
Dont speak up loud because the hybrid system will say I AM!
