Hi

My new Decuma Grey Excel arrives at my local garage (in Worthing, UK) this Friday. How long does it typically take from the car arriving at the dealer to the customer picking it up. They have told me it arrives Friday but have not yet given me a pick up date!

My dealer normaly plans day 14 after arrival. Every dealer has his own plan but you can alway,s phone and ask for the pick up date.

Blimey, why do they need the car for 2 weeks before handing over to the customer?

I will call the dealer (my guy is off today).

What do you think that the dealer has nothing else to do if so then he must be in receivership within a month. .

yep I think a dealer needs to sale cars and get them out to customers!!

It will probably depend on a number of factors but basically it needs pdi, registering and number plates fitting, assuming that the finance is all in place, - all of which could, if planned correctly, be done in a day. So if it arrives on a Friday (time unspecified) you could pick it up on a Tuesday.

Now if it needs some accessories fitting or some other work doing that could extend the time. Then there may be a specific date that you want it, say the first of the month.

Thanks - that makes sense. No special accessories need fitting and hopefully will sign all paperwork before Friday. Want to ensure I get it before 2nd October - when next payment goes out on current car - so want to avoid this if at all possible - garage is buying my old car (Range Rover) off of me.

Two days for me. It arrived Monday late afternoon and I picked it up Wednesday lunch.

Just had a call from Toyota - car arrived today (2 days early) and am picking up Friday PM! Exiting!
