Hinged Boot Cover

Today I had need to remove the "hinged" boot cover (the one that hides whatever it is that you have in the boot)

I had not noticed before how flimsy and cheap it was - I doubt that it will still be in one piece if I have to take it off more than half a dozen times. This is by far the worst boot cover I have ever had. :x :x

Mine wasn't even attached when I got my car. I totally felt the same as you when I attached it.
Feels like it's made out of a spare Amazon Box they found lying around and just covered it with material. lol

Luckily mine won't ever come out unless I decide to buy a 10000" TV :D
Or I need to put the dealers body in the boot

Me and my mentally challenged cat approve this message.
Its called a parcel shelf but I wouldn't put a parcel on it
Ive seen some new cars only come with a flimsy bit of mesh material now as a parcel shelf.

Whilst agreeing it is a bit flimsy I have to take it out regularly (to get golf clubs in) so have done so many more times than 6, and have not noticed any deterioration. More concerned with the plastic clips/hinges as they do feel flimsy.

I knew it had a "proper" name but could not just think of it - however irrespective of its name it is still rubbish.

Mine will never come out as I've already told the wife that we'll be using her Ford to take the garden rubbish to the compound
