Hello everyone, waiting on delivery of my new company car next month and feel like a kid in the run up to Christmas!! :D

Apart from a couple of test drives I have never driven a Hybrid before, think it is going to take me a little while to get used to it.

Must say I am finding this forum a real font of knowledge and loving some of the pictures that are posted of your new cars, but it does make the wait even harder!! :(

Hello jamera and welcome, what spec and colour did you order.
Hi Jamera

I know the feeling. Hope they keep to your timescales. My latest is delivery to dealer on Monday but it has already been changed 4 times due to the factory being on back order on a part. I'm still excited though.
Hello from East Sussex! Welcome to the forum!
Hi ans, same as your's with the premium & protection pack (had a little left on the lease budget)
nice , will have to see it in the flesh one day
Well, have been advised today that she is now in Derby awaiting the protection pack being fitted (Yay!!!). Strangely though the the dealer is still telling me it will not be with them until between 15th-20th and also that mine has come from Japan, I thought all European supplies were coming from Turkey????
Interesting. Your car is 30 minutes away from me :) I might go pinch it lol
Hi Jamera, we also live in Crawley, pick up our CHR on 31st March, so hopefully will see you about. Alan
Well, had a call from our transport dept this morning telling me my car is to arrive at the dealership today :D

and....................................................................................................... I get her Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D    :D :D :D
I will keep an eye out for you as i work in pease pottage at the moment
Getting excited now!!!!!!!! :D
well, best laid plans and all that. Due to pick the vehicle up this morning and just getting ready to leave when I get a call saying that I can't have it because, wait for it....................the Windscreen had cracked as they were getting it out of the compound. After a few seconds of thinking along the lines of FFS, I think to myself " well maybe that's not too bad, get a new one fitted and get the car tomorrow" if only life were that simple, Toyota are insisting that this is treated as a warranty claim and needs to be investigated, meaning we can't even get one of the national companies to replace it. So at the moment I do not have a clue when I will get it...................😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

OMG! Noooooooo!
Ohhh sh... Like they took the lollipop in front of your mouth.

@Jamera Are they still alive? I would kill them.
My wishes to get it soon.
"Getting it out of the compound"? Not gently, presumably?

That is so horrible to hear! They need to compensate you in some measure, surely?
One would like to think so yes, but I doubt they will as it is a fleet car and they've no real incentive to do so
You do have the option to reject as "not fit for purpose".

I would not have a new car with the complexities that are built into the windscreen of a C-HR with a replaced windscreen unless it was factory fitted.

I have heard stories of having windscreens replaced where there are sensors built in and the wipers do not work correctly afterwards.
Well, after what seems like an eternity trying to find out what was going to happen we finally have an answer....of sorts. There is a replacement windscreen from Toyota winging its way to the dealership as we speak, expected to be with the dealer Monday/ Tuesday. Great!!! I hear you say, not so fast....Toyota have insisted that a particular company fit it and we cannot get them come down to the dealership until they know the screen has definitely arrived. This potentially means that it may not be fitted until Wednesday next week, and car delivered to me on the Thursday, which by sheer coincidence is the original date we were given..........................or is it??
