Have you ordered a spare wheel (in the UK) ?

Received this today!!

Dear Keith,

Thank you for your email regarding the C-HR.

I have just received confirmation that the C-HR tyre repair kit comes as standard but a spare wheel kit is available. Unfortunately, the £150 spare wheel option you are able to see on the website is an error and we apologise for this misprint. The option on the website will be removed tonight (Tuesday) when the website is refreshed. In the next few days a new option will be made available for the full spare wheel kit (which includes tools and new trim and new boot floor over). We do not have a price for the full kit at the moment but it will be around £350 - £400 (but possibly as low as £300) - all inclusive of VAT & fitting (the dealer needs to spend nearly 1 hour putting the wheel kit in and a new boot liner/floor). With a spare wheel kit in place, you will lose some boot space as the spare wheel sits about 6 inches up higher than just having a tyre repair kit in the boot.

If you require further information, please get back in touch.

Kind regards,

Got my spare tyre a week ago, £250 including fitting which took about 10 minutes.
A space is provided in the new liner for the free repair kit and pump.

Rick.
Thanks for the info, I will definitely be looking to get a spare wheel as I really don't like the idea of only a tyre repair kit. A shame it will be so expensive though, I'd managed to find a compatible space saver for the GT86 for £20 on e-bay :(
yes had the same response from toyota its a mistake should £250 -£300 pounds ,so i guess if i get a puncture the AA will be getting a call
In Lithuania nobody would even think about buying a spare. It's €570 here.
In the Netherlands
Sparesaver 16 inch is 481 euro
Full spare 18 inch is 565 euro

Yes I had an Impreza one which was just right for the 86. I did try to find out the PCD for the C-HR wheels to see if this would fit, but the dealership were not helpful!
I got the spare wheel /Tool etc...included in the deal Free being a cash buyer ....so far I haven't heard anything about any issues....

Today I chose its registration number, I am waiting for the 1st March and new registration numbers .... Only 4 more weeks to wait...Excited..!
Hello
I can not get from Finland spare wheel and all other things I`ll need to install that properly to my C-HR ! Can somebody at this forum clarify what are the other parts that I will need! If you have spare part numbers, it would be fine! Toyota Finland does not have such a product like "Spare Wheel Kit for Toyota C-HR"!

Uti
In Netherlands are two spare wheel sets. 16" and 18".( "holyhead" wrote that already)

The 16" is including jack and tools € 482,20. The part number is V5240-00032

The 18" is including jack and tools € 566,53. The partnummer is V5240-00033

I think the part number is the same in al countries of the EU.

Maybe the prices are somewhat different in other countries (Different tax)

I hope you can do something with this.

Good luck ;)

Thank you Andries! Can you tell, does both products fit to C-HR with 18" wheels?

Uti
Thank`s! Do you know if one of those is normal size spare and the other may be so called "temporarily use"?

Both weels are standing in the options list from the C-HR here in Netherlands so I think it wil fit.
For sure you must ask your Toyota dealer.

I do not no that
I might get a set of OZ 19s (£300 each) for summer and keep the bog standard 17s with winter tyres. I dont have any need for boot space so il either keep one from the other set in the boot or remove the liner and modify it.

I do wonder if the abs or traction control will have a paddy if they dont match perfectly diameter/rotation wise on the same axle in the event I get a flat.
Since the ET and wheel size/space are known (and the largest sized tyre/wheel combo is 18") am unsure of the affect a 19 will have.

Would be interested to learn

1) The actual procedure needed to raise the boot floor to accommodate a full sized spare?
2) Whether any wheels from the current toyota range will actually fit, after all it is a 'spare' so not expected to be on for long
C-HR rim options are more, including 16" steel winter wheels (PW45710002SB) and 19" alloys (PW45710100MB). As for the spare wheel there is only one choice 42600F4210 available at least in my country. Its price however makes no sense as anyone can buy a used one for less than third of the price.
I just looked on a tire size chart and (rough guesses) If I started out with 17"/55 I would need 19"/40 to keep the rolling diameter almost the same.

19s would then actually end up smaller by 1%.
