Until I read the fault section of this forum I was very interested in a C-HR and already been for a test drive. Having just read through the fault section I'm now very put off. I've had 3 years of a reoccurring fault with our current car that the dealership has never managed to fix but prior to that never had any faults with a new car. If C-HR's are as fault ridden as it appears I'll be crossing it off my list :(

all good here ,alot of the faults are software based and being corrected by toyota in updates or people just getting used to their cars, but the wind screen one does seem a bit worrying but its only a bit of glass, but then if you worry that much buy yourself a push bike

No problems here either.

You do have to bear in mind that the C-HR is a totally "new" car and there are bound to be some problems in the early days. Problems will exist with any car, but what is important is how those problems are dealt with.

I have had problems with previous cars, as have probably most members of this board, but what I can say is that Toyota and/or my Toyota dealer have always been excellent at resolving them - otherwise I would not have bought another Toyota.

I've had mine for 2 months and done 2000 miles and I have NOT had any faults,
Yes there are a few things that are not as good as I expected or need a little getting used to,
Am I disappointed NO would I give it back NO
It's a great drive and looks fantastic

After hearing of some of the horror stories over many years of buying cars with some having electrical faults brakes overheating, engines seizing and many many other things, the CHR has been a pretty good new launch car tbh.

Seeing as it has been out just a few months it seems to have very few issues that are not easily rectified.

As other users have posted the biggest thing for most are unexpected things or items that just need getting used to.

My two issues were not the CHR's faults directly. 1st were scratches the dealer managed to put on the car. Super annoying.
The second was my mobile phones bluetooth stack wasn't compatible. Software update on my phone cured that one.

Both now resolved :)

If you are that worried about things, wait another 6 months at which point most "common" issues will have been found and ironed out with new builds.

I'm only a couple of weeks in but no problems here. I too got worried reading the faults section whilst waiting for mine to arrive but so far so good. All the problems seem to be taken care of swiftly under warranty though.

Thank you for the replies, I'm feeling a little better now! If we decide to go for one we won't be ordering until the start of August assuming there's any left to have. The Toyota dealership in Stafford told me that they had an allotted amount to sell but they might be able to source one from one of their other dealerships if they'd used their allowance up.

Had mine just over a month now and the only issue I've had was the front parking sensor picking up the stupid number plate surround the dealers fitted. (Not really Toyotas fault)

Besides that couldn't be happier.

Sounds like a line to ensure they don't have to offer you a discount!!!

Got mine 12th Jan, only problem was a small flat near one of the the front wheels came loose, took dealer a couple of minutes to sort out.
Apart from that I'm loving it. First proper drive next weekend, down to the south coast from Manchester, really looking forward to it.

I had two small faults, first was the collision warning failed, but a wipe of the sensor cured that, second was when you apply washers the windscreen doesn't wipe. Not earth shattering imo and they are scanning it when in in a couple of weeks.

My jaguar has been with me for over 12yrs, but it's first three years it had to have the whole engine changed under warranty (well known nikasil issue) I have the bill in my records and it cost over £6.5k!

But it was one of the first 50 off of the production line and it's been good to me in my ownership.

No problems here at all, super pleased.
Have to say it is the quietest engine, smoothest car I've ever driven. The 1st car I've ever had that has zero rattles in the cabin. Quality!

Drive technically I have had no problems.

The software has some bugs and some things could have been better designed. But the design flaws were known to me before I bought it. No deal breakers for me.

It is a good car, drives great and it looks stunning.
