Took my car in for the fuel tank recall yesterday, found out there were two more issues to resolve as well, the parking brake thing and something about a top cover, some area of trim in the cabin? Also wanted the puddle light issue sorting.
Was a bit annoyed as the dealer didn't tell me that I couldn't pick up the car that day as the fuel tank was faulty and needed replacing, until 5 pm, a bit late to sort out transport for getting to work ( I work nights ) but have my old Picasso as a fall back so managed ok.
Thought I'd ask them to fit front and rear mudflaps as it was in for a day longer than planned and I was thinking of doing it myself in the future.
Anyway picked it up a day later with:
New fuel tank
Updated software for satnav and audio
Reprogrammed key fob to drop the windows in summer.
Parking brake altered, safety thing put in.
Top cover replaced - no idea what it was. I thought it was the purple strip across the dashboard but it looks the same.
Front and rear mudflaps.
Washed and vacuumed, saving me doing it
Charged a total of £62 for the lot. Ok most of it was Toyota's fault with the recall but 62 quid fitted for the mudflaps seems a bargain, considering they are £95 just to buy on the website. I imagine they were happy to discount them considering the number of times I've been back with my CH-R
Sadly the puddle light isn't sorted, apparently there are a lot of wing mirrors that need replacing, no stock until the end of January but it will be done whilst I wait, fair enough I suppose.
So, waffle over, just wanted to say that, well, my dealer at least is trying to keep the customer happy. Hope yours is too
