I have the new C-HR 1.2 turbo And automatic (UK). Not very happy with general urban mileage (although its winter time <5 C). I average in Eco mode
some 19-24 mpg and am soft on the pedal. Even on longer local runs I am lucky to get 34 mpg. Normal and sports modes make little difference. Toyota seem to think this is normal for short runs as the car will spend most of its time in Choke mode. Anybody else have this issue. My previous New Auris Hybrid Tourer (1.8) did around 45 mpg in town.

Seems very high to me but have you measured over a longer period (approx 1000 mile town and highway,s) and what is the average fuel consumption then.
You can,t compare a Hybrid with a non Hybrid.
