I don't think FLAC is supported. I tried to find some info on this earlier, but lossless playback, mentioned in manual, doesn't mean it supports lossless files.
FLAC files over USB? - JBL pack
I own the JBL sound package; however I'm unable to read FLAC files over USB (mp3 files work though). My question is whether the ability to read FLAC files may also require having purchased the navigation system, which I didn't. Thanks for your help.

Thank you, it's a bit puzzling, because I read a post from the forum member "maciejp" stating "I'm using 1TB usb drive with lossless FLAC files".
I could be wrong, but I couldn't find any proof if C-HR supports FLAC
I am enjoying my Flac's on USB every day. Works without any problems.

I have the JBL. Very nice sound. Therefore i really wanted the Flac's quality.
I too opted for the upgraded music system which plays FLAC files without any problems. Mine also came with sat Nav but not sure if that makes any difference. I just use 8gb Sandisk usb sticks with the albums in folders and it finds them all perfectly.
