Not actively aware of any alarm issues in General. Mine seems to sleep quite well. :)

Maybe its the Spiders secretly spinning webs inside the car.

Toyota doesn't install any alarms on factory line. So each one is added by deales & it is same like china aftermarket -
poor quality of system itself + weak assembling.
Best way to have silent night is self installation profesional system which will be works by many years & will be difficult to hack.

Maybe that is something specific to country as I am pretty certain my dealer had nothing to do with the cars alarm installation.
My car is Business Fleet Hire and I know the manager very well. The only thing they have done themselves (other than the pre handover inspection) was to fix a faulty window motor and fit a rear bumper protector.

And yes Legara you can disable the internal sensors. Good thing too as I am always accidentally locking my mum in the car lol

Can definitely say they didn't fit the alarm in Cyprus and was factory fitted.
Dealer only fitted the accessories on my car

Each car go to dealer by hub, not direct delivery from plant & all trim eg. add accessory (navi, SIPA, alarm, etc.) , even leather seats - are made at this time. Do you belive that each C-HR is hand made base on each user order list?
No in Turkey - Sakarya they produce only few variants, rest is tuned locally.

Maybe they have learned something from Volkswagen is hand made base on each user order list?. You know not everything.

I really don,t now what you try to prove. By VW there is a long list of options who are installed from the factory and some options that are installed by the dealer. For the most factory options, it is not possible to install them later
by the dealer. For the last 15 year, I have got lots of Volkswagens but it you seems you know it better so keep it that way.

Earlier you talk about SIPA and that is a factory option and certainly not dealer options.
In the Netherlands, you only get the SIPA on what we call the EXECUTIVE, PREMIUM and BI-TONE PLUS model.
It is not possible to install SIPA afterwards on another model (Comfort,Dynamic,Bitone) by dealer

SCM and Thatcham are instituted among others Certification alarm system etc

If something is a factory option or dealer option depend on wich country.
In the Netherlands, a car alarm for the Toyota is a dealer option.
In the UK to my knowledge, every CHR has a car alarm installed from the factory.

I know that it is very difficult to eat humble pie. Even if other people show you that it is different (wrong) what you talked about you alway,s want the last word.

So I called Toyota Customer relations yesterday. Had a nice chat with a chap about what is and isn't installed at Factory.

In countries where Alarms and Immobilizers are standard then they fit these at Factory before being shipped to the country of sale.
At no point are they installed externally.

The same is true of Sat Nav/Infotainment/Sensors unless this is not standard fit for the model being purchased. In some instances these may be installed in the country of sale but only if there are stock reasons to do so. The automated build system they have can install most items in factory with no need for external intervention and in fact some items can not be added after leaving the factory. (Which confirms Holys post)

Accessory packs are the exception to this and are almost all installed in the country of sale or at the dealer themselves.

So for the UK at least all alarms are installed at Factory according to Toyota. This was a post after all about Alarms which seems to have been hijacked with irrelevant information.

Just thought it would be good to speak to Toyota themselves. It's amazing how much stuff they can install during the standard build these days.

One thing that has been bugging me and I meant to ask. Herman said that custom seats were fitted in a hub or dealer.
How are they driven before this then? Are we saying they make two lots of seats for some cars and there will be a seat graveyard somewhere hoping that someone wants to buy a standard seat that wasn't wanted and was replaced by leather? Just me thinking out loud :)

I have not replied to a few because of exactly that ANS.
Sometimes I look at a post and think... I really don't have the energy.
